All the World's a Stage
All the World’s a Stage has been in the area for over two decades and we are partnering with this wonderful group to bring after-school and summer supports to our students in all things related to theater. This partnership even includes junior thespian and high school thespian clubs beginning with the 2014-2015 school year.
One of the services provided by All the World’s a Stage (ATWAS) is Operation 360, a theatre arts centered, pragmatic life skills project for at-risk populations, 13-18 years of age. Using theatre arts, Operation 360 addresses four (4) key factors for students:
Programs offered by ATWAS, such as Operation 360, is provided for our students at no cost. In other schools, Operation 360 is $200.00 per student, per month.
In addition to Operation 360, ATWAS has started a Mount Clemens High School/Junior High School Thespian Club – something our school hasn’t had in at least thirty years. Additional offerings of ATWAS include a Community Arts Service Troupe, special programs for at-risk and underserved youth, teaching Shakespeare, arts in education, a theater performance series, and a dramatic and performing arts studio.
All the World’s a State is also affiliated with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Romeo Washington Township Chamber, Macomb Intermediate School District, Macomb Center for the Performing Arts, Macomb Chamber, Anton Art Center, Leadership Macomb, Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs, and others.
