Why "BATHERS"? Mount Clemens' heritage as the medicinal mineral bath capital of the United States between the 1880's and 1940 earned the city the nickname "Bath City". Mount Clemens High School embraced this heritage by using the nickname "Bathers" for its athletic teams.
