Mount Clemens Community Schools
Early Childhood Preschool (E.C.P.)

*Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children

Cost:  None

The E.C.P. program is a language based program which focuses on enhancing the pre academic, listening and speaking skills of young children.  The program serves children 2.8 to 5 years of age.

The program is open to all Macomb County residents.  Although most children qualify as speech and language impaired, children may have other impairments.

The children attend school two and a half hours a day, five days a week.  Each classroom of 12 children is staffed with a bachelor or masters level teacher and a trained associate teacher.  Door to door transportation is provided for in district families.  Children eat breakfast or lunch at school.

The E.C.P. program provides a parent component to assist parents with parenting skills, stress management, literacy, and support.  Parents are encouraged to volunteer in many capacities, including the
Media center.

Lincoln has a reputation as a warm, nurturing and enriching environment for children and families.
