Welcome to The Mount Clemens Community School District

The Mount Clemens Community School District has a long history of providing students with innovative and high quality instructional programs.  The district offers a full-range of programs and services for students and parents.   Keys to the success of the district are the dedication and commitment of employees at every level and the strong, consistent support and involvement of parents and the community.

With a current enrollment of 1672 students, Mount Clemens has a staff of nearly 70 teachers, 7 administrators, and 16 support staff.  It operates five buildings with a yearly budget of nearly 20 million dollars.   Mount Clemens’ offers many programs such as the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (Grades 7-10), Creative Arts and Communication Academy, Medical Bioscience Academy (partnered with Michigan State University), and a district-wide free breakfast program.  The student population is widely diverse with a 58% African American, 27% Caucasian, 6% Hispanic, with a free and reduced lunch rate of 89% of students qualify.

Mount Clemens is a diverse, urban community with a small town feel.  Located in southeast Michigan’s Macomb County, this historic community offers many of the amenities traditionally found in much larger urban centers. A well-defined central business district; a central city arts center; numerous community activities/festivals; a well-used public library; and, multiple recreational opportunities for both children and adults are hallmarks of this community.  Additionally, Mount Clemens serves as the County Seat for Macomb County.
