We received grant funding for all three elementary academies

for the Fresh Fruits and Vegetable Grant through the USDA!  

The total amount awarded for all three schools was $72,450. 

Implementation of this program starts December 1^st.

Free and Reduced Lunch Application Information

Students who qualified for Free or Reduced Lunch for the 2008-09 school year are able to use their benefits for the first few weeks of the 2009-2010 school year. A new application must be filled out and turned in before September 30 to continue meal benefits uninterrupted. Applications are available at all school offices, or by calling the Food Services Department at (586) 461 3742.

If you received a letter stating that your child was approved for meal benefits through the direct certification process, and telling you not to fill out a separate application, please do not fill out a separate application.

To ensure the prompt processing of your application, pay special attention to these steps:

Part 2 - Make sure that all student names are filled out on the application.

Part 3 - Make sure all students under the family members' names are listed.

Part 4 - Be sure that the social security number of the adult who signed the form is also listed.

Adding your phone number is also helpful, so when questions arise while processing the application, a simple call can be made, rather than sending the application back through the mail, which can delay the process.
