1. Mount Clemens High School has created three Career Academies to drive student success, increase academic performance and foster a sense of belonging among its students.

Characteristics

·  Small Learning Community

·  College preparatory or Honors curriculum with a college and career theme

·  Teams of teachers

·  Partnerships with business and industry

·  Opportunities for job shadowing, internships and mentoring

·  Partnerships with local colleges and universities

·  Opportunities for Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement courses

·  Relationships among students and staff

·  Parent involvement

The three Career Academy strands are:

• Creative Arts & Communication
• Legal Studies
• Medical Bioscience
