Bath City Beat (BCB) is an award-winning bi-weekly, half hour news program produced by Mount Clemens High School students.
Bath City Beat features stories about people and organizations that make a difference in our community. It highlights the many great events that happen in Downtown Mount Clemens and in our neighborhoods. Of course, Bath City Beat features funny sketches too!
On the air since 2001, Bath City Beat has aired over 200 episodes, promoted more than 500 organizations and has produced over 800 original stories and segments. BCB has received a $2,500 award from the Michigan Sports Broadcasters Association, was featured on WWJ NewsRadio 950's "Making the Grade," and was twice invited to WDIV Channel 4 for facility touring, job-shadowing and internship opportunities.
Bath City Beat reporters have won state and national awards from Buisiness Professionals of America, Michigan Association of Broadcasters, Michigan Army National Guard, the Orchard Lake Student Film Festival and Michigan Area Computer Users in Learning.
BCB has also been the subject of several articles from such organizations as: Michigan Area Computer Users in Learning, Michigan Education Association, The Detroit Free Press, The Detroit News, School Video News and the Macomb Daily.
Bath City Beat can be seen locally in several communities including: Mount Clemens, Bruce Twp., Clinton Twp., Harrison Twp., Macomb Twp., Richmond, Romeo, Shelby Twp., Sterling Heights, Utica, Warren and Washington Twp.
