Today's students, tomorrow's business professionals. Business Professionals of America is the leading CTSO (Career Technical Student Organization) for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields. The Mount Clemens High School Chapter has been around for several decades and was one of the original chapters in the state of Michigan. There have been several students that have competed on the local, state and national levels of competition. Recent national contenders include, Jessica Wennmacher, Erica Peeples, Lauren Hamel and Stefanie Ventimiglia. Currently BPA has more than 51,000 members in over 2,300 chapters in 23 states, and we are growing! BPA is a "co-curricular" organization that supports business and information technology educators by offering curriculum based on national standards. Resources and materials are available on-line and designed to be customized to a school's program. The Workplace Skills Assessment Program (WSAP) prepares students to succeed and assess real-world business skills and problem solving abilities in finance, management, IT and computer applications. There are more than 50 events students can compete in. If you would like more information, contact James Wagner, advisor, at 586.461.3429.
