Our Schools

Seminole Parent Teacher Committee

If you are looking for a way to become involved in your child's school, here is a perfect opportunity.  Our partners in education host many family events throughout the school year. PTC meetings are monthly and all are welcome.

What They Do!

  • Field Day - Each school year is capped off with a fun day that tops all fun days.  The students run obsticle courses, play carnival games, traverse a blow up maze, and get theirfaces painted.  Ask any child about field day and their faces will light up.

  • Fall Harvest - This family night is a blast.  Students and their parents come to school and build a life size scarecrow.  Along with the wonderful family time created, you get cider and donuts.

  • Living Science - An event that is talked about by every student.  This is a program brought in to the school to teach the children about animals and their habitats.  The presenters bring in live animals for the students to interact with and learn about.  In the past, we have interacted with a porcupine and sea anemones.

  • Story Tellers - During African American History month the PTC brings in a person who can tell our students about African American history through stories.

  • Donuts with Santa - Students come to school on a Saturday to visit Santa.  They can also complete crafts and listen to stories.

  • Fundraising -  Each year the PTC runs 1 fundraiser to raise money for that years activities.

Meeting time and dates: 6:30 pm Sept. 15, Oct. 13, Nov 3, Dec. 1, Jan 12, Feb. 9, Mar. 8, Apr. 19, and May 10.
